Tornadoes HIt Nebraska

More tornadoes were spotted in south-central Nebraska overnight and some flash flooding causes problems for portions of the northeast part of the state.

Tornadoes hit parts of Webster, Adams and Clay counties again Thursday night but no major damage was reported this time.

National Weather Service Meteorologist Steve Kisner says at least three tornadoes were reported between nine and 10:30 p.m. Her says the twisters stayed in rural areas and outside of communities and caused no major damage.

Although some tree damage was reported in Webster County.

More damage was reported in the northeast where high winds
downed large trees, blocking several city streets in Albion. Flash flooding in the Pender area washed out back roads between Pender and Thurston.

Flooding also shut down U.S. Highway 77 near Winnebago.

The weather service says the storm system also brought hail measuring one-and-three-quarter inches to the Wilsonville area, while one-inch hail was reported near Elba, Cambridge and Gothenburg.
