A poll published Tuesday by Rasmussen Reports indicates that Senator Ben Nelson would possibly lose a bid for re-election if the election were held now.

In match-up between Ben Nelson and Dave Heineman, the Rasmussen Poll shows Heineman with 61% and Nelson with 30%.

The poll was conducted December 28th, just days after Nelson became the 60th Senate vote to move the highly controversial health care bill forward in the Congress.

Rasmussen Reports notes that Heineman is NOT an announced candidate for the Senate.
