Three people died and three others were injured in a mobile home fire Tuesday morning in Hastings.

Adams County Attorney Donna Fegler Daiss says the dead include two children and one adult. Two others were taken to a Lincoln hospital in critical condition. A third injured person was treated and released from a hospital.

Fire crews responded to the fire at the Nebraskaland Trailer Park around 6:30 a.m. Officials have not yet identified the victims.

The fire destroyed the mobile home and damaged some nearby homes and a telephone pole. Firefighters battling the fire dealt with at least two inoperable fire hydrants and a wind chill reading of -17.
