Nebraska authorities are warning people about a swine flu vaccination scam.

A news release from the Attorney General's Office says it has learned of e-mails that look like they're from the federal Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

The e-mails ask people to create personal H1N1 vaccination profiles on the CDC Web site, regardless of whether they've been vaccinated.

A link on the e-mail takes the unwary to a fake CDC Web page, which includes profile instructions that can be downloaded. But if people click on the link, they could be inviting a virus or giving someone access to personal information.

The CDC says it has no state vaccination program that requires registration on the CDC Web site.

Swine flu is also referred to as the H1N1 virus.
