Consumer Reports Shop Smart researched 88 popular retailers to find the best stores when it comes to returns.
Chris Hefling found himself needing to make a return. He bought the video game "Borderlands," but when he opened it up, he found a blank, scratched disc inside.
Hefling kept his receipt, and returned it to Nebraska Furniture Mart. They are crediting him the full amount for the defective disc.
Consumer Reports warns-when it comes to some stores-keeping our receipt won't necessarily protect us.
Consumer Reports ShopSmart Magazine researched return policies at 88 popular retailers.
