A Gretna woman has turned herself in for leaving the scene of a serious accident a few weeks ago.

Thirty-nine-year-old Carrie Kirlin surrendered to Douglas County Sheriff's deputies Friday at the Douglas County Jail booking office.

She’s accused of hitting a motorcyclist in southwest Douglas County and driving away. Eighteen-year-old Alex Nekoranec was injured and is recovering.

Channel 6 News first reported that the hit-and-run vehicle had been located at a northwest Omaha body shop.
