Another former resident of the troubled Beatrice State Developmental Center has died.

Brady Kruse died Sunday in an Omaha hospital of complications
from multiple handicaps.

He was the 10th of the 47 "medically fragile" residents to die since the state's chief medical officer ordered in February that they be moved from the center.

Prior the move, the 35-year-old Kruse had lived at the Beatrice
center for 33 years. Kruse's father, Terry Kruse, says employees at the Beatrice center did "a super job of caring for Brady."

Terry Kruse believes serious problems developed at the center because it wasn't funded properly and that care was compromised by red tape that stemmed from numerous federal inspections.
