A head-on collision east of Yutan, Nebraska killed one woman and left another injured Friday evening.
The Saunders County Sheriff's Department reports 27-year-old Chantelle Wiemer of Stromsburg was pronounded dead at the scene. Her pickup rolled several times before coming to rest on its top.
Investigators say Wiemer was driving westbound on the Nebraska Highway 92 bridge over the Platte River around 5:30 p.m. when she collided with an eastbound SUV driven by 32-year-old Nina Papousek.
Papousek was listed in fair condition Saturday at the Nebraska Medical Center. No word yet as to who was at fault or if any citations will be issued.
