Officials say a Columbus, Nebraska man had been out of jail less than a week for violation of a protection order when he abducted his estranged wife from a Columbus bowling alley parking lot.
Jeremy Kudron has been charged with kidnapping, violating a protection order and other felonies.
Authorities say Kudron took the 28-year-old woman Friday night when she became separated from her friends.
Kudron was arrested Sunday after holding authorities at bay for more than three hours while holding his estranged wife hostage at a farmhouse near Silver Creek. The standoff followed a high-speed chased through three central Nebraska counties.
Court documents say the 32-year-old Kudron attacked a Nance County deputy following the standoff, trying to escape.
