The Douglas County Health Department has added a community H1N1 vaccination clinic.
5,000 more vaccinations will be available.
This new clinic is scheduled for Saturday, Nov.14, from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. at the Omaha Civic Auditorium, 1804 Capitol Avenue.
The clinic will focus on the CDC’s designated target groups.
Those are:
-Pregnant women
-Children from six months through 24 years of age
-People who live with or care for children younger than six months of age
-People between the ages of 25 and 64 years with chronic health conditions
-and health care and emergency services personnel.
Again, the Health Department is asking the public to not stand in line prior to the opening of this clinic.
Remember, people can reduce the time it takes to get through the line by filling out a vaccination consent form in advance.
The Department also plans to release more information on parking around the Omaha Civic Auditorium later this week.
If you would like to print out a form, you can find one at the County Health Department’s website at www.douglascountyhealth.com.
