The Weeping Water Community Building Foundation has received a $500,000 loan awarded by USDA Rural Development through the federal stimulus.

The funds, leveraged with $280,000 from the Foundation and a
$250,000 Community Development Block Grant, will complete interior
renovations of the former Agricultural Society building.

The building will be used as Weeping Water's community center and to
house the city offices.

Interior renovations consist of new heating, ventilating and air conditioning, restrooms compliant with the Americans with Disabilities Act and kitchen facilities.
