Cass County Attorney Nathan Cox said Friday he has filed two misdemeanor motor vehicle homicide charges against a man for his suspected role in a crash that killed two brothers.

Cox declined to discuss details surrounding the charges filed against 23-year-old Brandon Heanue in connection with a June 20th crash on Highway 66 near South Bend, Nebraska that killed brothers 18-year-old Michael Matchus and 22-year-old Kyle Matchus, both of Louisville, and injured four passengers.

An accident report said Heanue passed the brothers' pickup in a no-passing zone and attempted to return to the proper lane too soon, causing their vehicle to lose control.

Heanue will be arraigned on November 17th.
