Scottsbluff teenager is accused in seven fires in as many weeks

A Scottbluff man is accused of setting seven fires in the city over the last two months.

Matthew Ralston, who turns 20 on Monday, has been charged with five counts of second-degree arson and two counts of third-degree arson.

Ralston was arrested Thursday and is being held in the Scotts Bluff County jail.

Authorities say Ralston was responsible for seven fires, including blazes at the vacant City Limits Motel and the Lakota Lutheran Center. The fires were set between Aug. 29 and Thursday.
