Police in Iowa City say they've arrested two women in connection with a plan to use to a 3-month-old baby to smuggle marijuana.

Police in Iowa City say they've arrested two women in connection with a plan to use to a 3-month-old baby to smuggle marijuana.

Police say they arrested 21-year-old Alicia Davendra Reed and 21-year-old Kenyatta Jeannette Taylor on Friday. Authorities say bags of marijuana fell from the baby when police asked to see its blankets and clothing. Police also say they found multiple packages of marijuana when they searched the apartment.

Taylor faces three counts of child endangermant with no injury, among other charges. Reed faces charges of child endangerment with serious injury and a controlled substance violation, among other charges.

Phone listings for the women could not be found. Both were released from the Johnson County Jail.
