Plattsmouth Police are investigating the burglary at Lotz-4-Less, 902 Chicago Ave. It was determined that prior to entering the business, the suspect(s) removed the power meter from the building causing all power to be shut off. It was approximately 4:30am that entry was gained by breaking the glass on the south door. A large amount of money and approximately 60 cartons of cigarettes were stolen, said police.
A similar incident occurred at Murray Building and Supply sometime early morning Saturday.
Murray Building & Supply had also been burglarized on September 19th, a day after Beaver Lake Liquor and Firehouse Grille were broken into.
As on the 19th, the intruder(s) gained entrance Saturday by breaking a window on the back door. About $1500 worth of tool items were stolen.

A sheriff’s department spokesman said investigators continue to look for leads. There are similarities to burglaries in other nearby jurisdictions. The break-ins happen in the early morning hours. Damage has been done to power meters also.
