On Saturday (10/10) troopers with the Nebraska State Patrol Troop A Headquarters- Omaha, will hold the fourth in a series of statewide “Safety Saturday” initiatives.
The Cassgram reports that the initiative puts an extra complement of troopers on the road on a chosen Saturday night, drawing attention to crash causing behaviors such as impaired driving, speeding, following too closely and reckless driving.
The counties covered by Troop A include Cass, Sarpy, Dodge, Douglas and Washington.
Troop A Commander, Captain Bret Friesz said, “It is our hope the high profile initiative will leave a lasting impression on motorists and encourage future voluntary compliance.”
