Smash And Grab Suspects Sought

Security camera video shows a suspect using a heavy brick to try and break down the door to Brian Hadrick’s office.

The thief can’t get the job done and runs off but Papillion police are hot on his trail.

Hadrick owns the 370 Grill and says, “Maybe this puts out a sign that the Papillion police won’t put with this and take care of it quickly so it doesn’t happen to anybody else.”

Papillion police have joined officers from several agencies searching for two suspects. Papillion Sgt. Jeff Payton says, “We’re looking at about 100 cases total involving smash and grabs.” Cases from Sarpy County, Omaha and Lincoln in which the two suspects used a brick to smash windows then display cases.

It’s believed they took about $12,000 in valuables from Kay Jewelers in Papillion’s Shadow Lake shopping center.

The suspects are identified as 20 year old Dane Nodskov and 24 year old Greg Winbush.

Two Omaha homes where police believed they were staying were searched Tuesday. In one at 39th and Ames police recover a watch worth $900 that has been identified as coming from Kay Jewelers.

At another home near 48th and Fowler Scott Nodskov claims he kicked his son out. Police served a search warrant at the home and say a pit-bull went after an officer who shot the dog. The dog was not killed and the owner took it to a vet. Nodskov says, ‘If they had gotten a hold of me at work I would have come home and controlled the dog. My son hasn’t lived here for four weeks.”

But police believed the suspect could be in the home along with possible stolen items. Officer safety is a concern when serving the warrants.

The two suspects were not home and the search continues to find them.
