Omaha Police have linked a 5th female victim to a man described by investigators as a serial rapist.
Christopher Ennis, 27, has been charged with four sexual assaults that occurred over the last year in the same area – near 27th and Binney.
In the latest case to come forward, a 26-year-old woman has identified him as her attacker as well. She says, in January around midnight, a man grabbed her from behind and pulled her into a tree line. He got her pants off – investigators say – before someone heard her screams and he ran.
Late Monday, Ennis was charged with Attempted Sexual Assault for that case. He's currently in the Douglas County Jail on $3-million bond.
So far, the cases stem from August & November of 2012; and January and September of this year. Prosecutor say DNA tests have positively linked him to those cases.
