Recent cool weather has slowed the development of Nebraska's crops.
The U.S. Department of Agriculture says temperatures averaged 4 degrees below normal last week.

The USDA says 76 percent of the state's corn crop rated in good or excellent condition at the end of last week. That was even with last year.

Some producers in southern Nebraska were harvesting corn for silage.

About 78 percent of the state's soybean crop continued to rate in good or excellent condition. Last year, 67 percent of the soybeans rated good or excellent at the same time.
