Iowa Gov. Chet Culver plans to announce $10 million in state funds to aid in the construction and renovation of homeless, domestic violence and emergency shelters across the state.

Culver will make the announcement Monday morning at Willis Dady Emergency Shelter in Cedar Rapids. Iowa first lady Mari Culver will visit the St. Joseph Emergency Family Shelter in Des Moines.

The $10 million is part of an $830 million bonding package, known as I-JOBS, designed to clean up from floods and repair the state's aging infrastructure.

The money will be repaid over 20 years using revenue from state-licensed casinos.
