The four University of Nebraska campuses will be sharing nearly $1.2 million in donations from the university foundation.
A foundation news release says the grants will help the Omaha campus with its research on water and health information.
The foundation also says its donations will help the medical school buy equipment; let the Kearney campus improve its science and business programs; and help Lincoln faculty members develop foreign-study programs.
The University of Nebraska Foundation is a private, nonprofit corporation that helped raise money to support the University of Nebraska for 73 years.
Last year, it provided more than $130 million total to the four campuses.
