Police are investigating a series of armed robberies in Omaha on Sunday.

The first happened at the Kwik Shop on 72nd and Crown Point Avenue where two men entered the store shortly after 5 a.m., pulled a gun and demanded money. They ran off with cash and some merchandise.

The Cubby's at 42nd and Redman was robbed around 10:40 a.m. The clerk said a man entered, pulled a gun and ran away with an unknown amount of cash.

He was wearing a black windbreaker jacket, dark pants and sunglasses, which closely matches the description of the man who robbed the Subway restaurant at 59th and Ames around noon. He pulled a gun and ran off with cash.

Channel 6 News contacted police to see if they believe the last two crimes are connected. We were told they are unable to make that determination at this time.
