An overnight shooting injures six people after gunshots are fired into a large crowd near 18th and Miami street.
Police say the shooting happened just after 2 a.m. Saturday. All six victims were taken the Nebraska Medical Center. Police say three of the victims suffered critical wounds and at least one patient has life-threatening injuries.
Officers blocked off a large area with crime scene tape between 18th and Corby street and 18th and Miami street. Police officers and detectives were seen swarming the area looking for shell casings and other evidence.
Police focused most of their investigation on an intersection where a group of people had gathered. Police say they have little information to work with and have no details about the motive of the shooting or if they are looking for any suspects.
The conditions of the six shooting victims have not been released at this time. The investigation is ongoing.
