A Fremont woman accused of having sex with a 15-year-old boy remains jailed pending $150,000 bail. Her family says she's been wrongly charged.

The allegations against 42-year-old Cindy Greunke outlined in a two-page affidavit obtained by Channel 6 News detail felony charges involving first-degree sexual assault because of the victim's age.

Nebraska law prohibits people 19 or older from having sex with those under the age of 16. The incidents allegedly occurred between June 22nd and June 27th. Greunke was arrested last week on suspicion of first-degree sexual assault, debauching a minor and enticement by electronic device.

In the affidavit, the detective states "the victim indicated to me that he and Greunke had participated in mutual masturbation while sitting on her front porch."

The detective goes on to claim that "the victim also stated that he had sent a photo of his (private parts) to Greunke three times and that she had send him photos of her (private parts),” something allegedly confirmed by the victim's cell phone which his parents presented to police.

The most damning claim is the suspect's own statement allegedly saying she “admitted to having a love affair with the victim. She stated that she loves him and she knows that it is wrong due to his age."

She's knows that because the affidavit indicates she sexually assaulted another 15-year-old a few years ago and she's now a registered sex offender.

Outside Greunke's home Tuesday, her husband of 11 years came to her defense. "I love her and I miss her," said Craig Greunke. "We all do and stand behind her 110 percent."

Ironically, the porch he was sitting on is at the center of the allegations. "He was having problems with his parents and so he would come over here and talk to all of us," said Craig.

"My mom is not a horrible person,” said daughter Kaylie Greunke. “She's not the monster that everybody makes her out to be. She is one of the most kind and caring person you'd ever meet.”

Channel 6 News also spoke to the alleged victim. Despite the affidavit's claims, the boy now denies it happened.
