Ice, snow, and generally slick conditions made the Monday morning drive a headache for many across the Omaha metro area. Hospitals reported seeing more than 90 patients with ice and snow related injuries.
Alegent Creighton Health emergency departments saw 56 patients Monday morning due to slips and falls on the ice. The majority, 27 patients, were seen at Lakeside Hospital. Officials said injuries ranged from twisted ankles to broken bones and head injuries.
Eleven patients visited the Emergency Room at the Nebraska Medical Center Monday, as well.
Methodist Health System reported nine patients at the Women's Hospital, seven patients at Methodist near 84th & Dodge, and two people at Jennie Edmundson in Council Bluffs.
