The Nebraska Department of Education released reading and math score data Monday showing 62 percent of students meeting or exceeding math scores on the Nebraska State Accountability report.
The report shows 54 percent of 11 graders were proficient.
The average reading scores for students improved, from nearly 69 percent proficiency last year to 72 percent this year.
Nebraska Education Commissioner Roger Breed says the state's schools still have work to do to improve mathematics test scores.
