Secretary of State John Gale is offering Nebraskans the chance to have their U.S. and state flags flown at the state Capitol.

Gale says people may arrange with his office to have flags flown at the Capitol throughout the year in recognition of individuals, accomplishments and special occasions.

Those interested must provide the flag, deliver it to Gale's office and explain why the flag is being flown.

Flags flown at the Capitol will be accompanied by a certificate, signed by Gale, detailing the date and purpose of the flight.

For information on the flag service, call (402)471-4070.
