Autopsies on two Omaha-area men killed in a boating accident showed one drowned, while the other bled to death after being struck by the boat's propeller.

The news comes as state officials are urging caution on Nebraska's waters, particularly during the upcoming holiday weekend.

Thirty-two-year-old Eric Jarecki of La Vista and 25-year-old Jason Hafsaas of Omaha were thrown from a fishing boat Sunday morning on Branched Oak Lake in southeast Nebraska.

Authorities say they were then hit by the unoccupied boat as it circled back at them. Neither was wearing a life jacket.

A joint funeral service will be held for Jarecki and Hafsaas at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at St. Gerald's Catholic Church in Ralston. Visitation will be held at the church Wednesday from 3-7 p.m.
