UPDATE: Body Found in Dumpster Identified
The body of a man believed to be homeless and found in a dumpster Friday, has been identified. Council Bluffs Police say he was 51-year-old Jimmy Lankford.

The body of a man believed to be homeless and found in a dumpster Friday, has been identified. Council Bluffs Police say he was 51-year-old Jimmy Lankford.

Council Bluffs Police were alerted to the body shortly after midday on Friday. Investigators at the scene tell Channel 6 Investigative Reporter Mike McKnight foul play is not suspected.

Lankford's body was found in a dumpster at the Metro Crossing Shopping plaza which is located not far from the 35th Street entrance to I-29.

Police say Lankfrod was in a sleeping position and foul play is not suspected.
