One Dead, Five Injured In Head-On Crash
One person was killed and several injured in eastern Pottawattamie County Thursday night when a van hit a pickup truck head-on. The crash happened just west of Griswold on Highway 92.

One person was killed and several injured in eastern Pottawattamie County Thursday night when a van hit a pickup truck head-on. The crash happened just west of Griswold on Highway 92.
The Iowa State Patrol says the van was turning southbound from the highway onto 500th Street when it collided with the truck.
The driver of the van was pronounced dead at the scene. One person in each vehicle had to be taken to a hospital by helicopter, and three others were taken by ambulance.
Troopers at the scene say it's too early to tell who was at fault. Conditions of the injured passengers were not immediately available.
The crash happened shortly after 9:00 p.m.
