There will be no criminal charges filed in a case involving a La Vista mom, her 18-month old toddler and an ad on Craigslist. The decision was made today by Sarpy County Attorney Lee Polikov.

Investigators have determined that the ad, which claimed the 22-year-old mother was a meth addict, was an attempt to get help for the baby. The child last week was taken into protective custody by the state. The child will remain in the state's care until a hearing is held June 22nd in Sarpy County Juvenile Court.

The Craigslist ad, which has since been taken down, said the mother was addicted to meth and that her little boy deserved a mom who is not an addict. The ad went on to say the mom needed someone to take her son before she "did something crazy".
