Millions have been given anonymously to help two colleges in Nebraska.
York College says an anonymous donor has committed to giving more than $1 million to support a teaching position in the performing arts.
College president Steve Eckman says the money will come over the next five years.
The school awards bachelor's degrees in vocal music, music education and theater.
Creighton University in Omaha also was the recipient of an anonymous donation this week.
The Rev. John Schlegel, Creighton's president, says the gift of more than $40 million is earmarked for undergraduate scholarships.
Schlegel says the gift is the largest in the school's history.
