Southeast Nebraska, southwest Iowa and northwest Missouri until 4 a.m. Sunday. This includes Omaha, Council Bluffs and Lincoln.
Thirty-two Nebraska schools have been recognized for their efforts to improve the health of their students through better eating and more physical activity.
The schools were honored during the Summit last month in Lincoln. Awards were handed out by the action group, a nonprofit that strives to address overweight, sedentary and undernourished youth.
Nebraska's chief medical officer, Dr. Joann Schaefer, says schools that are addressing poor nutrition and inactivity are empowering students for lifelong success.
