Unsolved Assaults
Local authorities continue to follow any possible leads in two Cass County assault cases.
The Cassgram reports that no suspects have been identified in the assault report from a 38-year-old Plattsmouth woman in her residence on South 15th the night of May 11th.
Police found no signs of forced entry into the residence and have few leads to go on at this time, says Detective Andrew Kennan. Police say a relative of the woman did receive a letter that may be connected to the incident and authorities are investigating.
The Cass County Sheriff’s Department has not determined what caused the injuries to a 55-year-old Louisville man in late March.
The sheriff’s department asked for the public’s help in determining if Kelly Bender was the victim of an assault, however no information received has led authorities to a suspect or an explanation of what happened, says Capt. Dave Lamprecht.
