Trail Delay
A bend in the trail on plans for a controversal bike trail in Cass County.
LB 134 is on hold until after the Lower Platte South Natural Resource District's (LPSNRD) board meeting on May 20, 2009.
Senator Pankonin expects that the LPSNRD's board will officially suspend work on the proposed 334th Street trail route until after the 2010 legislative session.
The Legislature's Natural Resources Committee will conduct an interim study about the use of eminent domain for recreational projects.
The study may serve as the basis for a proposal in the 2010 legislative session to address this issue.
