With all the concern about Swine Flu, many parents are bringing their children to the doctor's office.

In Midtown, Doctor Amy Lacroix says some of the kids have seasonal flu, but most are suffering from upper respiratory illness.

Doctor Lacroix recommends if your child has cold, symptoms, a fever, is complaining of muscle aches, and just feels terrible it's a good idea to bring him in.

If your child has typical cold symptoms and is behaving normally, treat it as a normal cold.

In Northwest Omaha, Doctor Reema Nasr is treating Impetigo. In infants, the bacterial infection shows us as pus-filled blisters and red skin. In older children, golden crusts show up on red sores.

Clean the area with an anti-bacterial soap several times a day. Apply an over the counter ointment three times a day after the scabs fall off.

Impetigo can be contagious, so don't share towels and wash hands after contact with the rash area.

See a doctor if the scabs don't clear, if blisters are larger than an inch across, or if a red streak runs from the infection. An antibiotic may be needed.
