Emergency officials in Grand Island say a baby girl couldn't wait to make a trip to the hospital and was delivered in the cab of a pickup truck.
Officials say when an emergency crew arrived at the scene early Tuesday they found the mother crouched on the floorboard of the truck and the infant in blankets on the floor.
A woman who had been driving the pickup was also there.
Officials say there wasn't much room to work in the pickup cab and it was difficult to see, plus there was a language barrier.
The baby and mother were eventually loaded into an ambulance and taken to a local hospital where emergency officials reported they were doing fine.
Their names were not released.
