A Mead, Nebraska woman was ticketed for drunk driving after parking her car on railroad tracks west of Valley where a train hit the vehicle Sunday night. She was not in the car at the time.

The driver, Lisa Horton, left the 2003 Chevy Impala at the crossing on County Road S near Highway 64 where it was hit by a southbound Burlington Northern Santa Fe train around 9:30 p.m.

The Saunder's County Sheriff's Department says Horton does not have insurance.
