Channel 6 News has received a number of e-mails from parents who auditioned their children in Omaha last weekend for a company claiming to be a talent scouting agency called "The."

Parents say the company is asking them to pay several thousand dollars to expose their kids to Hollywood talent agents at an event to take place in Phoenix, Arizona later this year.

Local talent agents say the company's business is not illegal, however, the cost for the convention may be unnecessary.

Channel Six discovered the company is currently being investigated by the Connecticut Attorney General's Office.

Parents should do thier homework on the company before signing any contracts.
