Under a plea agreement accepted Monday by the Crawford County District Court in Denison, Iowa, Marcia Ryan pleaded guilty for helping recruit two Nebraska teenagers for prostitution.

Ryan was initially charged with ongoing criminal conduct, two counts of human trafficking and two counts of pandering. She pleaded guilty to one count of pandering and faces up to 10 years in prison.

Authorities say Ryan was a prostitute known as "Jazzie." She was accused of helping Leonard Russell recruit two teenage girls from Nebraska for prostitution and strip club performances. Russell is already serving a 25-year sentence for his role.

Ryan's attorney, Thomas Gustafson, says his 20-year-old client "was as much a victim as a participant" in Russell's scheme. Her sentencing is scheduled for April 6th.
