THE LIED PLATTE RIVER BRIDGE near South Bend is temporarily closed for debris removal.
The Cassgram reports that no travel will be permitted on the bridge and/or trail during the removal process until further notice.
Good news for about 200 home and cabin owners on two lakes upstream.
Many of them had been concerned about debris causing a dam that could back up river water onto their property. It's espcially troublesome during ice jam season.
The project had been on hold until Federal dollars could be approved which happened last month.
