The father of a Bellevue Cub Scout gets arrested for stealing from his son's fund-raising effort.
A Cub Scout Pack was doing a fund drive by selling popcorn and when it came time to turn in the cash, one scout was $758 short.
Several attempts to find the loss were not going too well so Pack leaders called Police.
Bellevue Chief John Stacey says the Investigation revealed a dad took the money from his son's popcorn collection.
Stacey says the father stated it was a "stupid mistake" because he's going through rough times. The Chief says the Cub's father kept saying that all the way to jail.
To protect the identity of the Cub Scout we won't reveal the father's name.
