Investigators say the fire that destroyed a vacant house in Pottawattamie County Tuesday morning appears to be suspicious.

When crews arrived at North Line Drive and Old Lincoln Highway north of Council Bluffs shortly after midnight, smoke and flames could be seen on the roof and second story.

Crescent's assistant fire chief says the roof caved in and only three outside walls are still standing. No word yet on how the fire started.
