Ton Of Steel Stolen
Omaha Police are looking for the men who carried away a ton of iron "I" beams from a south Omaha lot. Employees watched as the metal was loaded into a truck and driven off. They were unaware it was being stolen.
It was reported just before Christmas, on Tuesday, December 23rd, but the theft occurred back on Wednesday, December 17th, behind the Bag N Save at 18th and Vinton.
According to police reports several men loaded the beams into a white Ford pick-up and drove off.
There was no estimate for the value of the metal.
