A severe thunderstorm warning has been issued for eastern Gage, Johnson and northwestern Pawnee counties in Nebraska until 2:45 p.m. A tornado watch is in effect for parts of southeast Nebraska and southwest Iowa until 10 p.m. Sunday.
A directed patrol by the Omaha Police Department pays off with the arrest of a suspected vandal and thief. They were looking for someone breaking into cars near the Rosenblatt Stadium Neighborhood.
According to the police report officers were in the area of 10th and Bancroft, on Tuesday, December 9th.
Officers say they spotted a man standing next to a car, the rear window smashed.
When the man saw the patrol officers he ran south, toward the stadium and zoo. He was wearing white or light colored jacket and pants.
Officers caught up with 18-year old Anthony Crum a short time later, he was taken into custody in the area of 13th and Martha, and cited for criminal mischief.
