It's time to put away the Christmas decorations and take down the tree. The City of Omaha wants to remind residents trees can not be left for curbside pick-up, however there are several drop-off locations across the metro.

Drop-off sites are open until January 12th. We're asked to remove nails, wires, ornaments, plastic bags, and roping before leaving the tree.

Trees should be thrown on the pile to leave room for others to access the site. Volunteers from the Rotary Clubs of Omaha and the Douglas/Sarpy Master Gardeners will staff the sites and help you unload trees on January 3rd and 4th from 10am until 4pm.

Drop-off sites:

Is this a charity? If I leave my artificial tree, will it be given to a needy family for next year?
