A Heartland man is in trouble with the law, and probably wishes he had hired a different home inspector. The suspect was cited for possession of marijuana, and drug paraphernalia.
The home inspector is a U.S. Probation Officer, who picked up a second job as a home inspector.
According to the police report the probation officer was inspecting a home in the Morton Middle School Neighborhood near I-680 and Fort, when he noticed a baggie with what he believed was marijuana in it next to a recliner. Also close by was a Pepsi can that appeared to be altered into a smoking device.
The police report, filed on Tuesday, December 23rd, states that the probation officer/home inspector felt it was his duty to inform Omaha Police about the items.
When officers arrived they concluded that the substance in the baggie was in fact, marijuana, and that the soda can had been converted into a crude pipe.
Twenty-eight year old Daniel King Jr. did not admit the drug or pipe were his, but did accept responsibility for them. King was cited for the two misdemeanor charges.
