Standoff Ends Peacefully
A brief standoff ends peacefully in southwest Omaha overnight.
Douglas County deputies responded to 17821 Cinnamon Circle where 26 year old Jerad Raffety was holding his father Jeffery at gun point.
Sgt. Joe Martinec Jr. arrived at the scene about 11pm and was able to get family members and friends out of the house.
Additonal officers were called in including a SWAT team.
Sgt. Martinec was able to get both father and son on the phone. He convinced Jared to put down the weapon and leave the house without incident.
The son was placed in Emergency Protective Custody.
