A Heartland mother, charged in connection with the death of her paralyzed daughter is headed to trial. A jury will now decide Cherie Harbour's guilt or innocence.

Twenty-three year old Tawnisha Harbour was severely burned after a fire broke out in the home she shared with her mother. Confined to a wheelchair Tawnisha could not get out of the home.

The first firefighters on the scene reportedly found Tawnisha in her room, the doors tied shut with bedsheets, from the outside.

Tawnisha died from her injuries nine days later.

Cherie Harbour is charged with the abuse of a vulnerable adult. Judge Patrica Lamberty has scheduled the trial for three days beginning on February 11th, 2009.

Abuse???? Bed sheets tied around the door handles preventing escape????? Sounds more like murder.
