Three months after his wife Tracy's body was pulled from the Missouri River, Stan Tribble is under arrest for her murder.

On the day that Mr. Tribble was scheduled to go to trial for misdemeanor domestic abuse, he was instead taken into custody by the Metro Area Fugitive Task Force.

The task force showed up at the Omaha car dealership where Stan Tribble works at 9:45 this morning. He was taken into custody without incident.

Tracy Tribble's step-sister, Christine Gaines, called the arrest bittersweet. "It's a relief they've made an arrest," she said, "but at the same time it sort of dredges everything back and it won't bring her back."

Last week the Pottawattamie County Attorney indicated that Tracy Tribble had three fractures on her face that could have been caused by a fist. The results also suggested that she was thrown into the river from a bridge.

Police had been asking anyone who had seen something suspicious on a Missouri River bridge to come forward. They believe Tribble was thrown into the river late night May 2nd or early the morning of May 3rd.

Friday, Tracy's mother begged for help in finding her daughter's killer, saying that someone had done "horrible things to Tracy."

While investigators say they have not gotten any new information since Friday, they believe they can prove that Stan Tribble killed his wife.

Stan Tribble is locked up at Omaha Police Headquarters. He is waiting to be extradited to Iowa where he will be charged with First Degree Murder.
